Standard Sled Track kit includes structural steel and aluminum diamond plate frame with treadmill track assembly, slide lubricator, medium inertia flywheel, vibration pads, vehicle tie downs, removable drive-up ramps, ski guides, stud protector pads, 9” dual-rotor water brake absorber, torque arm transducer, Electronic Auto-Load Servo, DYNOmite data-acquisition computer, DYNO-MAX software, inductive RPM pick-up, AC power supply/recharger, stainless braided hoses, and data wiring harness. 

DYNO-MAX Software creates a full vehicle dashboard on your PC. Features include: real-time trace graph display, adjustable limit warnings, pushbutton controls, user configurable analog and digital gauge ranges, color graphing, test report database, inertia compensation, “Smart Record™” trigger points, adjustable data dampening, data import/export, auto-zeroing, instant playback, multi-run overlapping, etc. 

DYNOmite data-acquisition computer automatically displays and records true horsepower, torque, RPM, elapsed time, etc. at 200 readings per second. It can even be set to automatically apply Standard SAE correction factors for air temperature, barometric pressure, and relative humidity. Test results can be played back on the DYNOmite’s LCD or printed to an optional printer. It even doubles as a racing data recorder.

More than acceleration Hp can be measured because the DYNOmite includes an actual absorber and torque arm. Other companies’ inertial only chassis “dynos” simply spin the vehicle’s driveline up to speed - against the roller’s “flywheel resistance.” Hp can only be back calculated from the roller’s inertia and acceleration. They can’t maintain an RPM or MPH setting! It’s similar to calculating Hp from your drag-strip ET. 

Sustained Hp and top end can only be handled by absorption dynamometers (like the DYNOmite). Unlike “acceleration spurt” inertial testing, you can load the vehicle indefinitely*. The absorber allows running controlled RPM step and sweep Hp tests. Everything is done under computer control via the included “Electronic Auto-Load Servo.” 

Simulate driving conditions on your chassis dyno by letting DYNO-MAX and your PC take control. DYNO-MAX features a “Road Load Simulation” mode that can simulate vehicle momentum, air drag, rolling friction, etc. Enter the vehicle’s weight and drag data to let this software monitor MPH vs. applied Hp, as it adjusts the dyno’s “road” load accordingly! To the driveline and operator, the “feel” is like actually driving along.

Fix driveline problems that never show up in the garage. Shifting problems, driveshaft vibration, brake chatter, bearing noises, brake shudder, exhaust rattles, etc. show up without costly field testing. Many hard to find problems can be diagnosed without a flake of snow on the ground!

Test emissions under load using your existing exhaust gas analyzer. Quit trying to use unloaded idle data (or impractical road testing) to verify that repaired vehicles are in emission compliance. Send your customers for state inspections with confidence you’ve solved their problems - the first time!
